Description:

LEVEL: Advanced/Elite-Developing “team” Developing an Effective Team Player

Half-Day and Full day: This program is for players who have already developed the basic Coerver® skills and who use their “Moves” in games. This program teaches “Advanced Moves,” emphasizes pace, accuracy, and timing of passes and runs, and seeks to increase “speed of play.” Much of the instruction is structured around the use of highly competitive small-sided games. The Advanced Program has a two-part curriculum. The first does much of its training within the confines of the 3v3 situation; the second is built around 4v4 play.

Full days: The camp features individual and small-sided games, based on our Pyramid of Player Development. The atmosphere is energetic and positive with an increased level of intensity and fun! All groups play in our “World Cup” competition with teams they stay with throughout the week. This is a round-robin competition of small-sided games. Results are recorded each day and a finals competition is held on Friday. Group champions are recognized at our award ceremony on Friday.  Also, they will have a shooting team competition and speed and agility.

Coerver Summer camps are designed for players who want to improve their skills and game effectiveness. Our aim is to develop confident and creative players while teaching essential social skills such as good sportsmanship and respect, in addition to a good attitude to practice and play. Campers receive a progressive series of instruction in Ball Mastery, Receiving and Passing, 1v1 Attacking skills, Speed (including the speed of thought), Finishing, and Group Play.  All this results in improving player’s ball control, 1v1 skills, creativity, speed of play, and overall Soccer IQ.

Advanced Coerver camp: there will be group rotations plus Strength and conditioning with and without a soccer ball. The finishing rotation will teach players how to improve goal scoring opportunities and take advantage of tight spaces to take a shot.
